The Masai are an indigenous ethnic group of semi-nomadic people living in northern Tanzania and Kenya, and they are the only group allowed free travel over the border. The Masai reside near many game parks and their dress is very distinctive. Consequently, they are probably the most well-known African ethnic group in the world. Masai culture is intricate and fascinating. Roles are determined by age, wealth and position in the community. Men are warriors and herders, and cattle play a central role in their lives. The more cattle, the wealthier the warrior and his wealth then enables him to take multiple wives. Herds are large and warriors constantly wander on the mountain and surrounding plains seeking pasture for their animals – often camping out.

                                          This is a unique and active safari experience; a trekking safari provides a welcome break to sitting in a vehicle for days on end. While walking you have the opportunity to stalk wildlife, search for tracks, and mix with indigenous cultures. On our trekking safaris you will generally move camp everyday which requires a simpler, lighter weight camp. We have designed a special walking safari camp: On this walking trip we will use Maasai donkeys to transport the camp. You will only need to carry your small day pack with water and personal gear for the day.  

                                 Gombe  designated as a game reserve in 1943, was upgraded into a national park status in 1968. The park is located 16 km north of Kigoma town on the shores of Lake Tanganyika in western Tanzania. It covers an area of 56 square kilometers and is a fragile habitat for chimpanzee. Gombe gained its popularity after the research of Dr Jane Goodall which is  believed to be the longest running study of primates in the world.

Mount Meru is the fifth highest mountain on the African continent and the second highest in Tanzania and dominates the Arusha National Park with its huge cliffs. The mountain is often used as warm-up hiking in preparation for the  Kilimanjaro . However, the technical requirements are greater on Mount Meru than on the Kilimanjaro Routes.                                  Kilimanjaro, the “roof” of Africa, is located in Tanzania, and is surrounded by many famous game-viewing parks. Our route up Kilimanjaro, the Machame, is a non technical journey through five very distinctive climate zones, allowing ample time for acclimatization.                                  In fact, statistics from  Kilimanjaro  National Park show that on certain routes as little as 50% of trekkers actually reach Uhuru Peak, the summit of  Kilimanjaro . Well, the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro  is 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) above sea level; an altitude that is aptly categorized in  climbing  parlance as extreme.

There are parks without roads where you can walk and experience nature  with all your senses. All Game Viewing at the Parks are done on foot.  The biggest attraction of these Parks is the highly habituated  chimpanzees but there is a large number of Olive Baboons and different species of Monkeys such as Red Colobus, Blue Monkeys etc.

Gombe Tracking is a beautiful and unique adventure as it is among the few places in the world where chimpanzee can be see in their Natural habitat.
